HighTide’s mission is to support communities around the world as they plan, mitigate, and adapt to sea level rise and increasing flood risk.
In its early stage as a consulting firm, HighTide is working with local governments in Florida on economic impact assessments, providing ML support to non-profit organizations in California to optimize the impact of a large scale stormwater mitigation project, and offering climate consulting to a community in Brooklyn to prevent a controversial New York City rezoning from creating an environmental disaster.
Astra/HighTide is working in parallel to build a climate impact on physical asset data stack.
I bootstrapped HighTide during the pandemic and started to get traction. I couldn’t bootstrap forever, but I didn’t want to go to the VCs. I was fortunate to discover the Echelon non-zero ecosystem, where resources are shared, and the rockstar team is great to work with.
Echelon’s non-zero values empower me to build my company with purpose and the support of a rockstar team.
Echelon connects me with world-class experts that expand my knowledge and accelerate growth. Successful engineers and entrepreneurs are there to help every step of the way. The experience working with the team and extended family of Echelon is frictionless, since the goal is a win-win for everyone.
It’s difficult to build the company you envision when you’re going from project to project. Echelon provides me with the financial support I need to build sustainably and focus on the big picture.
